The clinic can get booked quickly, although we try to keep waiting lists to a minimum. If a client fails to attend their appointment, it means there is a vacant slot that could have been offered to another person. A deposit is taken to discourage last minute cancellations, as well as covering product cost and the booking administration or preparation. If you let us know by contacting the clinic that you cannot attend your appointment 48 hours in advance, you will be able to rearrange your appointment free of charge. Deposits are non-refundable therefore will not be returned if you chose to cancel your appointment. You can carry your deposit over to your new appointment upon rearranging twice, however following this there will be a further cost of £10 as an administration fee. Under exceptional circumstances your deposit may be refunded, please ensure you contact the clinic on an individual basis.

Arriving at the clinic

Parking is available on the supermarket opposite for 3 hours free of charge, we recommend clients utilise this car park. There are also some streets offering free parking nearby. On arrival at the Mollie Elise Aesthetics clinic, you will be greeted by a member of staff. You may be asked to wait in the reception area for a short period. Mollie Elise Aesthetics maintains a high standard of cleanliness therefore treatment rooms are cleaned between appointments. We try to keep waiting times down to a minimum. There are drinks and snacks available in the waiting area, as well as some light reading materials. There are also bathrooms available.

Your consultation

During certain appointments, consultations are required on a different day from your treatment for you to digest information given and prescriptions to be completed or product to be obtained. During your consultation appointment, you will be asked to fill in a consent form and give your medical history. This allows the practitioner to assess the client’s suitability for treatment. The consultation one of the most important aspects of your care, during this appointment we will assess your face and discuss the best treatments to achieve your goals and best enhancement of your natural beauty.

At our clinic there is no high-pressure sales-pitch. We offer free confidential consultation appointments with no obligation to book or commit to appointments. This allows you time to consider all the information provided; and decide if you would like to proceed. The nurse practitioner will recommend the treatment options most suitable to you, as well as discuss the brand and type of filler that’s best for you. possible risks, side effects and complications will be thoroughly explained as well as any worries you may have. The consultation allows the nurse practitioner talk about realistic expectations from the treatment administered and create a treatment plan. You will be given the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. You will be asked to sign a consent to treatment form if you decide to proceed with the treatment. On booking your appointment a deposit will be taken to confirm your appointment in line with our policy.

Your treatment day

On the day of your appointment, if your consultation was completed on a previous day, you will be asked if there have been any changes to your medical history and to give consent for the treatment to be carried out.

The area will be thoroughly cleaned and dependent on the treatment topical anaesthetic cream will be applied. Ensuring you achieve the results you desire; the nurse practitioner will again go over the specific look that you desire. During a lip filler procedure, a small dermal filler will be injected at one time, to support and scaffold the lip. This will ensure that the natural shape of the lip is maintained and exaggerated.

Following the procedure, you will have aftercare explained and will be given a written aftercare leaflet to take home with the number of the clinic in case you have any queries.

Following treatment, the area treated may be slightly red and swollen. This is usually minimum, allowing you to resume your normal activities on leaving the clinic.

Hyaluronic Acid a natural sugar in the skin. It gives us a plump youthful appearance. As aging occurs, we produce less and less hyaluronic acid. This means that over time volume is lost, forming more lines and wrinkles.

Dermal fillers used at Mollie Elise Aesthetics are made up of a specifically developed hyaluronic acid that settles naturally under your skin. It is a biodegradable gel that is easily injected into chosen targeted areas. None of the dermal fillers we use at Mollie Elise Aesthetics Clinics are permanent and can be dissolved. Dermal filler provides hydration, volume, and necessary structure. As well as smoothing out the lines and wrinkles resulting in a younger, fresher, rejuvenated appearance.

At Mollie Elise Aesthetics Clinics, we only use premium dermal fillers which are FDA approved. All these fillers have been proven to be safe and effective, there is extensive scientific research to support this. This includes Eloquence, Juvederm, and Teosyal (however other approved fillers are available on request). Different brands or types of dermal filler are suited to different treatments. Many leading brands offer variants of their product to suit varying treatments. The product chosen for lip enhancement would be different to that used for cheek enhancement. For example, Eloquence Deep, Eloquence Sub-Q and Eloquence Fine. Our highly trained aesthetic nurse practitioners will advise which product would be best suited for you.

Mollie Elise Aesthetics strive to ensure that treatments are as pain free as possible. The dermal fillers used contain Lidocaine which is a local anaesthetic. We also provide a topical numbing cream at the clinic prior to treatment.

Once the treatment is complete the results are instant, and you will see the outcome straight away. Depending on the product chosen and the specific area treated, dermal filler can last between three to eighteen months.

Lip fillers are injected into the lip in the form of a syringe. This allows us to measure the amount of filler administered during the treatment. Lip filler treatment usually takes between 10 and 20 minutes, and clients describe it as a small scratch as the needle goes in. For the first couple of days your lips will be the most tender, and you may have the sensation of something in your lips. Your lips will feel tight, and sensitive for the first couple of days after treatment. Following your consultation, your practitioner will be able to give you an indication of how your lips will feel in the days and weeks following your treatment in more detail, so you know what to expect.
No makeup or product should be worn or applied to your lips for at least 4 hours following treatment. It is recommended to wait 12 hours before applying a ‘full face of makeup’. This prevents the likelihood of infection. You will be able to wear makeup the following day.

If you are not happy with the results from your treatment, or that you have received at another clinic, your nurse can administer a solution called hyaluronidase that dissolves the lip filler almost instantly, leaving no lasting damage or effect. This can be done in an emergency if needed, however if this is planned it requires a patch test.

Following your treatment there may be some tenderness, swelling or bruising. These symptoms are common and will improve over 14 days following the procedure.

No, for safety reasons you cannot have dermal fillers injected if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. For some treatments such as vitamins, it is possible to have vitamin drips whilst pregnant providing you can obtain a letter from your GP advising that there are no complications.
