Endolaser Treatment Timing: What Treatments Can You Have Before and After?
One of the most common questions we get about Endolaser / Endolift is:
“When can I have my other treatments around it?”
This is such an important part of treatment planning because Endolaser is not just a facial or maintenance treatment. It is a minimally invasive laser procedure that creates controlled heat beneath the skin to stimulate collagen, tighten tissue and support contouring.
Because of this, your skin and tissue need time to settle before and after treatment. Booking treatments too close together can increase swelling, irritation, inflammation, bruising, healing complications and sometimes affect your final results.
At M.E. Aesthetics, we always prioritise safe treatment planning and realistic healing timelines, even if that means spacing things out more carefully.
Why treatment timing matters
Endolaser creates controlled inflammation beneath the skin. This is part of how the treatment works. The body responds by stimulating collagen production and tissue remodelling over the following weeks and months.
If too many treatments are layered together too closely, it can:
• Increase swelling and bruising
• Increase inflammation
• Delay healing
• Increase sensitivity
• Affect filler placement or longevity
• Increase pigmentation risk
• Make results harder to assess accurately
• Increase the risk of complications
The biggest thing clients often underestimate is that even when the skin looks healed externally, the tissue underneath may still be inflamed or remodelling.
This is why proper spacing matters.
Botox and Endolaser
Botox BEFORE Endolaser
We usually recommend allowing Botox to fully settle before Endolaser treatment.
As a general guide:
• Botox should ideally be done at least 2 weeks before Endolaser
This allows the anti-wrinkle treatment to fully settle and gives a more stable baseline before tightening and contouring treatments.
Botox AFTER Endolaser
We generally recommend waiting:
• Around 4 weeks after Endolaser before Botox
This is because Endolaser creates heat and inflammation beneath the skin, and we want swelling and tissue activity to settle before placing Botox.
There is also concern that heat and inflammation too soon after treatment may affect how Botox settles or potentially increase metabolism of the product.
Dermal Fillers and Endolaser
This is one of the most important treatment combinations to plan properly.
Filler BEFORE Endolaser
We usually recommend:
• Minimum 4 weeks between filler and Endolaser
• Longer if possible, especially in more mobile or swollen areas
Why?
Endolaser creates heat beneath the skin. If filler is too fresh, this may increase:
• Swelling
• Migration risk
• Inflammation
• Distortion of results
• Difficulty assessing tissue accurately
Filler AFTER Endolaser
We usually recommend:
• Minimum 6 weeks after Endolaser before filler
• Preferably after swelling has fully settled
This is especially important for:
• Jawline filler
• Chin filler
• Mid-face filler
• Nasolabial filler
• Lower-face contouring
The tissue needs time to soften and settle properly before adding volume.
In many cases, we actually prefer Endolaser first, then reassessing whether filler is still needed once tightening and swelling have settled.
Skin Boosters, Polynucleotides and Biostimulators
This includes treatments such as:
• Polynucleotides
• Profhilo, Jalupro & other Skin Boosters
• Bio-gel filler
• PLLA / collagen stimulators
BEFORE Endolaser
We usually recommend:
• Minimum 4 weeks before Endolaser
AFTER Endolaser
We usually recommend:
• Around 6 weeks after Endolaser
Why?
Although these treatments are very different to filler, they still create inflammation and tissue activity. Layering treatments too closely can increase swelling and make healing less predictable.
CO₂ Laser and Endolaser
These are both advanced treatments, so timing is very important.
CO₂ BEFORE Endolaser
We usually recommend:
• Minimum 4 to 6 weeks after CO₂ laser before Endolaser
• Longer after more intensive resurfacing if redness or inflammation remains
CO₂ AFTER Endolaser
We usually recommend:
• Around 4 to 6 weeks after Endolaser before CO₂ laser
This depends on:
• How invasive the CO₂ treatment is
• Whether swelling has fully settled
• Skin sensitivity
• Healing response
The skin and tissue should be calm before combining treatments.
Microneedling, Hydrafacial and Chemical Peels
BEFORE Endolaser
We usually recommend:
• 2 to 4 weeks between treatments depending on intensity
AFTER Endolaser
We usually recommend:
• Around 4 weeks before restarting advanced skin treatments
This includes:
• Microneedling
• Chemical peels
• Hydrafacial
• Radiofrequency facials
• Other resurfacing treatments
Laser Hair Removal and IPL
We usually avoid performing laser or IPL on the same area:
• 4 weeks before Endolaser
• 4 weeks after Endolaser
This helps reduce unnecessary inflammation and skin sensitivity.
Why we often recommend Endolaser BEFORE filler
This surprises many clients.
If someone has:
• Early jowling
• Lower-face heaviness
• Mild to moderate laxity
• Under-chin fullness
• Loss of jawline definition
We often prefer to treat the tissue quality and tightening first before adding filler.
Sometimes once swelling settles and tightening develops, far less filler is needed than originally expected.
This usually creates a more natural-looking result and avoids overfilling heavier lower faces.
Events, holidays and downtime planning
Endolaser should not be treated like a “lunchtime facial.”
Even though it is minimally invasive, swelling and bruising can still be significant.
We usually recommend avoiding treatment too close to:
• Weddings
• Photoshoots
• Holidays
• Big social events
• Important work events
As a general guide:
• Allow at least 2 to 3 weeks before important events if possible
You also need to consider:
• Compression garment/chin strap wear
• Bruising
• Swelling
• Tenderness
• Lumpiness
• Temporary asymmetry during healing
Flying after Endolaser
We usually recommend avoiding flying for around:
• 7 days after treatment if possible
Cabin pressure can sometimes worsen swelling during early healing.
Why your treatment plan should be individual
Not every client heals the same way.
Factors that can affect timing include:
• Swelling tendency
• Bruising tendency
• Smoking/vaping
• Medical history
• Autoimmune conditions
• Skin quality
• Age
• Healing response
• Previous treatments
• Treatment intensity
This is why we always assess timing individually rather than giving identical plans to every client.
Final thoughts
Endolaser works best when treatments are planned properly around it.
Spacing treatments safely helps:
• Improve healing
• Reduce complications
• Reduce unnecessary inflammation
• Improve final results
• Create more predictable outcomes
• Prevent over-treatment
At M.E. Aesthetics, we would always rather create a slower, more strategic treatment plan than rush multiple treatments too closely together.
Sometimes waiting a few extra weeks genuinely gives a better long-term result.
