Hyaluronic Acid a natural sugar in the skin. It gives us a plump youthful appearance. As aging occurs, we produce less and less hyaluronic acid. This means that over time volume is lost, forming more lines and wrinkles.
Dermal fillers used at Mollie Elise Aesthetics are made up of a specifically developed hyaluronic acid that settles naturally under your skin. It is a biodegradable gel that is easily injected into chosen targeted areas. None of the dermal fillers we use at Mollie Elise Aesthetics Clinics are permanent and can be dissolved. Dermal filler provides hydration, volume, and necessary structure. As well as smoothing out the lines and wrinkles resulting in a younger, fresher, rejuvenated appearance.
At Mollie Elise Aesthetics Clinics, we only use premium dermal fillers which are FDA approved. All these fillers have been proven to be safe and effective, there is extensive scientific research to support this. This includes Eloquence, Juvederm, and Teosyal (however other approved fillers are available on request). Different brands or types of dermal filler are suited to different treatments. Many leading brands offer variants of their product to suit varying treatments. The product chosen for lip enhancement would be different to that used for cheek enhancement. For example, Eloquence Deep, Eloquence Sub-Q and Eloquence Fine. Our highly trained aesthetic nurse practitioners will advise which product would be best suited for you.
Mollie Elise Aesthetics strive to ensure that treatments are as pain free as possible. The dermal fillers used contain Lidocaine which is a local anaesthetic. We also provide a topical numbing cream at the clinic prior to treatment.
Once the treatment is complete the results are instant, and you will see the outcome straight away. Depending on the product chosen and the specific area treated, dermal filler can last between three to eighteen months.
Dermal Fillers
Botox and dermal fillers can both be used to rejuvenate the skin, but, in fact, they work in different ways.
Dermal fillers are used to plump the skin by hydrating and adding volume. Fillers can be used to fill in wrinkles caused by sagging or aging skin, to restore volume, or to enhance or correct specific areas of the face such as the nose, cheeks, jawline and lips.
Botox is a prescription only medicine, which works by temporarily relaxing the muscles, reducing movement. This minimises wrinkles and lines caused by repeated movement and expressions, such as crow’s feet and forehead creases.
Botox weakens the muscles that cause wrinkles in the skin that overlies those muscles. Dermal fillers are injected directly into the wrinkle to plump up the skin and smooth the surface. Botox lasts around 3-6 months, and dermal fillers can last 6-18 months.
